Senator Mardi Seng, Chairperson of the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats, spoke at the RenewPAC 2025 Summit held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from 23 to 25 February 2025.
The summit was convened by the Renew Europe Group of the European Parliament and brought together liberal and democratic political leaders from Europe and Africa. Mardi Seng attended as the representative of Asia's only regional alliance of liberal and democratic parties.
His participation continued CALD's work of connecting democrats across continents — an approach he has consistently argued makes each national democratic movement more resilient, particularly for parties operating under pressure at home.
