On 8 May 2025, senators of the Khmer Will Party visited jailed Candlelight Party officials Thach Setha and Eng Srouy at Prey Sar Prison in Phnom Penh. It was the first visit in three years by opposition leadership to political prisoners held there.

The visit followed a meeting on 28 April 2025 between the party's three senators — among them Senator Mardi Seng — and Senate President Hun Sen. Eleven members of the opposition coalition are held at Prey Sar.

Access to imprisoned opposition figures has been tightly restricted since the crackdown that preceded the 2023 national election. Senator Mardi Seng has made the freedom of Cambodia's political prisoners, including his sister Theary Seng, a central part of his work in the Senate.
